Basic Skills—Kaari Berg Rodriguez—Sra. Rodriguez

Directly involved in education since 1997 with experience as a bilingual teacher, Sra. Rodríguez earned Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development Certification at Chapman University in Monterey, California in 2000, and completed her B.A. at Macalaster College in St. Paul in 2001. She studied abroad at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. She has also served as a Literacy Home Visitor for the Minnesota Literacy Council and worked as a Bilingual Migrant Outreach Teacher for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Sra. Rodríguez co-presented on the topic of Early Literacy Acquisition at literacy conferences and conducted training workshops for second-language learners for VISTA and Teacher Corps.
